The Portal Light 2 IR combines the dual-BLE scanning power of the Portal Light 2 with a built-in IR transmitter, enabling room-level RTLS without additional ceiling hardware. When IR-capable tags — such as the Smart Badge 3 or Asset Tag 2 — receive the IR signal, they know their precise room location.

This all-in-one gateway is the most cost-effective path to room-level location accuracy in healthcare and smart workplace environments. A single wall-plug device replaces the need for a separate gateway plus separate IR beacons, cutting both hardware cost and installation time.
