The Kontakt.io Portal Beam is a multi-sensor ceiling device that consolidates BLE 5.0 gateway, IR transmitter, and thermal presence counting into a single PoE or DC-powered unit. It covers up to 200 sq ft at a 10 ft ceiling height, delivering room-level RTLS accuracy, real-time people counting, and environmental monitoring — all from one installation point.

With onboard temperature, humidity, and ambient light sensors plus an optional CO2 SKU, the Portal Beam is the centrepiece of a complete smart room or smart ward solution. Installation takes approximately 15 minutes with no coring required, and firmware is managed remotely via Kio Cloud.
